A drive pin quotation checklist

A useful drive pin enquiry brings together the part specification and the order specification. You can start from a catalogue model, an existing sample or a drawing. The aim is to make the requested item and quantity clear in one conversation.

1. Identify the part

• The full model reference or the product page link.
• A drawing number and revision, if you have a drawing.
• Shank length and diameter, plus head, washer, cap or thread dimensions where relevant.
• A photograph of an existing sample if you need help identifying its format.

2. Describe the application

Include the fixture, its thickness, the base material and the tool reference. For a threaded pin, add the mating part and its thread requirement. These details give the sales team a specific connection to discuss alongside the product.

3. Define the order and packing

• A quantity for each model or size.
• The unit used: pieces, boxes or cartons.
• Pieces per inner box and inner boxes per carton.
• Box labels, carton labels and other packing requirements.
• Your delivery destination and requested timing.

A minimum order quoted in boxes needs a pack count to make it comparable with a quantity quoted in pieces. Put both values in the request when you know them, or ask for the packing arrangement in the quotation.

4. Send it from the product page
